Each product in our LovePet line is clearly marked on the package with information regarding dosage and administration. The amount you give your pet will depend on their weight and size.
It can take anywhere from one to four weeks for your pet’s body to respond to the supplements. You may increase the dosage if you are not seeing the desired results, but it is important to monitor your pet over time to determine if this needs to be done. Prior to increasing supplementation, please consult your veterinarian to discuss what’s right for your pet.

If your pet experiences a prolonged or serious reaction, discontinue supplementation and consult your veterinarian.

Research shows that CBD can help treat a variety of conditions and ailments in your pet. CBD works to activate receptors in the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), creating and restoring balance and optimum health and wellness.
- Pain & Inflammation
CBD treats pain and inflammation in your pet by blocking the action of pain receptors throughout the body. When these receptors are blocked, pain decreases or stops.
Administering a CBD supplement to your pet can help alleviate both chronic and acute pain related to various conditions including:
- Hip dysplasia
- Joint pain and inflammation
- Sprains and strains
- Torn ligaments
- Reduced mobility
- Recovery from surgery
- Stress & Anxiety
Supplementing with CBD stimulates receptors in your pet’s brain that are responsible for regulating mood and stress response. Mood disorders often present as abnormal and destructive behaviours, such as:
- Hair loss and obsessive biting
- Poor appetite
- Poor sleep
- Separation anxiety
- Fear of loud noises
- Fear of unfamiliar people and places
Using cannabidiol can help ease stress and anxiety in your pet, and ultimately have long-term benefits for your animal’s overall health and happiness.
- Nausea & Digestive Disorders
CBD attaches to cannabinoid receptors in your pet’s body that:
- Regulate feeding behavior and control appetite.
- Regulate serotonin levels to control nausea and vomiting.
- Reduce inflammation that is often the cause of digestive disorders and disease.
If your pet suffers from frequent digestive distress, or a more serious digestive issue (such as inflammatory bowel disease), CBD could be a great option to help ease their symptoms, help them regain their appetite and and help restore their zest for life.
- Seizures & Epilepsy
Seizures are caused by electrical disruptions in the brain. CBD can interrupt and lessen the frequency of seizure activity by reducing the number of electrical disruptions immediately and over time.
Early evidence suggests that treatment with cannabidiol is a safe and effective alternative, used alone or in conjunction with lower doses of conventional treatments, to managing your pet's seizures.
- Skin & Coat Health
Applied topically, CBD oil helps improve the health and condition of your pet’s coat by encouraging skin cell regeneration, regulating the skin’s oil production, and infusing the skin and coat with nutrients (like vitamin E) to improve texture and shine.
A medicinal CBD shampoo can help:
- Soothe dry skin
- Contribute to a shinier, stronger, softer coat
- Improve allergy symptoms
- Aging & End of Life
Aging pets and pets that are nearing end of life need special support and nutrition to make their senior years comfortable and pain free.
CBD has been shown to:
- Stimulate normal cellular function and promote healthy aging through mitochondrial support.
- Reduce age-related inflammation and pain .
- Alleviate pain related to advanced, terminal illnesses.
- Stimulate appetite in pets who are malnourished or weakened due to advanced illness or old age.
CBD supplementation can provide comfort and support for your pet in their advanced years, when they need it the most.
